Ansatsu Kyoushitsu END

Well, that was a bit of an anticlimactic ending. Nagisa’s way of subduing that unruly student looked really odd, not to mention the art seems to have declined in quality a little.

But anyway.

Adam Savage’s One Day Builds: Hellboy Sword!

I watch Man At Arms, so a model sword made out of plywood seems a little lame in comparison to the real steel used in those builds (which are also far more intricate at times). But really, modelling is just as impressive in its own way. I certainly don’t have the kind of skills to pull that sort of thing off.

Captain America: Civil War – Trailer 2

“Let them fight.”

Almost wish they kept Spidey out of the trailers, but that’s a pretty good entrance in all fairness. Also, the rest of the trailer looks epic. It’s got the gritty Winter Soldier feel, and the fights look like they are going to be great. I don’t think it’s a bold prediction to say that the Russo brothers crushed Winter Soldier, is probably crushing Civil War, and will crush Infinity War.

Goodbye, MythBusters

I’ll miss ’em immensely. The explosions got tired after a while, and the recent myths about zombies and movie science were a bit silly, but I’ve watched some amazing episodes and been surprised more than a fair bit by the conclusions of some myths.

They made science fun, and made me love science even more. So here’s to you, the MythBusters. Your show may have ended, but the spirit of discovery and exploration, of questioning and experimenting will never die. Godspeed, and goodbye.

Man At Arms: Reforged – Asuna’s Rapier

The series is seriously meh right now, but I have to give them props for their pretty decent weapon design. Well, at least for season 1. Season 2 was just guns and Kirito being an OP protagonist bringing a sword to a gun fight and winning.

Never actually realised Asuna’s rapier isn’t really a rapier though. Anime is anime…
