Thousand Foot Krutch has sounded pretty much the same to me throughout most of their albums, generally feeling a little edgy and fast-paced. But that edge has been blunted a little as the years have gone by, and Oxygen:Inhale feels a little too gentle at times. I do love the generic rock sound of the album, and the addition of violins in one song was pretty nice. But at least one song sounded like country (which, it has to be said, sounds more and more like conventional rock these days), and that kind of baffled me.
But the album doesn’t stray too far from what Thousand Foot Krutch have always been doing, and they continue to be easy on my ears and utterly enjoyable.
